I have been engaged in making art for as long as I can remember. Following graduation from the University of Iowa in 1965, where I obtained an MA degree in Fine Arts, I worked as a studio potter, firing my work in a natural gas kiln outside my studio in Maplewood, NJ, producing a variety of stoneware pieces. In the 1990's I started painting, taking classes with Ron Lent and other watercolorists. Although watercolor is my favorite medium, I also work with oils, alkyds, printmaking, collage, and digital media. My work has been exhibited widely in juried art shows in the region, and I have won numerous awards for my paintings.
